Many people wonder how “supermom” Mabel Mak manages to juggle her fully packed schedule. One of the secrets to her balance is a hard MMA workout. Mabel shares more of her tips exclusively with UFC Gym Vietnam.

  1. EXERCISING RELAXES YOU

After a workout, Mabel feels more relaxed and energised and believes that this is a common feeling amongst fitness enthusiasts. When exercising, especially with high intensity physical activity such as MMA, the pituitary gland is stimulated and releases endorphins. Endorphins are a hormone that helps to relieve pain and can also bring on a feeling of euphoria.

UFC Gym Vietnam conducted a survey of its members after they finished their workouts and the consensus was that regular exercised helped them to sleep better and feel less anxious or stressed. These factors can have a great impact on day to day work as being in good spirits can help you to deal with any stress that may come your way.

  1. STICKING WITH YOUR GOALS

Mabel also shared with UFC Gym how she manages to push through the more intense MMA workouts. According to Mabel, “MMA training isn’t always easy for me, it’s not easy to get used to the punches and swings compared to those who have been doing it for a long time. I never give up halfway, I plan more specific workouts that target my weak spots. The same mentality applies to both training and career development, you have to train and work hard to get it right. Think of your goals and do your best. If your goal is going to the gym 3 times a week for 3 months, it’s almost the same as when you say that you want to improve your job performance in 3 months.”

  1. YOUR POWER IS ENHANCED

Not every job will require you to be physically strong however, being in good physical health is beneficial to most areas of your life, especially if you are a mother to a young child. Mabel says that before she started doing regular workouts and taking time to balance herself, that she was easily felt stressed out and nervous.

Since beginning regular training, Mabel has realised that the sweat she leaves on the training room floor helps to ease the stress of the work place, lets her relax and helps her be a better mom to her son.

The professional training environment of UFC Gym can provide a wide range of exercises and training to meet the needs of a mother and is home to modern equipment and world-class coaches.
